Claverham is a small village located just off the A370, half way between Bristol and Weston super Mare. The village is centred on the High Street containing a café, takeaway and hairdresser and adjoining Bishops Road where there is a modern Primary School and a new village hall. Originally a farming hamlet, the village now acts as a home to many commuters. The earliest building in the village is believed to be Claverham Court around which the fields have yielded numerous archaeological features, some of which YCCCART has investigate and recorded.
